Hi friends,

Remember opening the Sunday newspaper and heading straight for the funny pages? Today, I’m bringing a little of that Sunday joy to you—with familiar furry faces and a few unexpected guest stars!

I wanted to add a little laughter to your day while sharing some of the observances that fall on October 18. What better way to celebrate than to imagine what our animals would say if they could talk?

And on this Sunday day of worship, I’m also inviting you to help support a cause near and dear to my heart: Paws of War. As a veteran, helping my fellow warriors build fuller lives alongside a canine companion means so much to me.

We’ll finish our funny pages with a little race-day dreaming from Freedom and me. First, let’s enjoy the comics!

A Little Race-Day Dreaming for Paws of War

Our final comic imagines the next 5K Freedom and I will be doing: running together, breaking the finish tape, and celebrating a cause bigger than our finishing time.

The fundraising milestones pictured are what we’re hoping to reach, with a goal of $1,000. It’s our cartoon daydream—and an invitation to help us turn that fundraising dream into something real.

As much fun as it is to imagine crossing that finish line first, the real victory is helping my fellow veterans through Paws of War and the companionship and support dogs can bring to their lives.
